The DeKalb girls tennis team got the clinching win in a thriller at
No. 1 doubles to defeat Belvidere, 3-2, on Wednesday.

With the match tied, Helene Collin and Joy Ngum came from behind for a 3-6, 6-6 (7-5), 6-3 win to seal the team win.


Dasjha Eguasa also had a comeback win at No. 2 singles, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. At No. 3 doubles, Hannah Mooberry and Lorena Robles picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win for the Barbs.

Kaneland sweeps Elgin: The Knights cruised to a 7-0 road win.

Freshman Piper Schrepferman picked up a win at No. 1 singles in an extended match.

Newcomers at varsity, Haley Lemp and Sarah O’Shea won a 7-5, 7-6 (10-7) match at No. 4 doubles.
