St Anne got off to a hot start shooting behind the arc and forcing Charger turnovers. Down 23-6 in the first quarter, things looked bleak, but IL regrouped and battled back. A late Merrick Danzy three-pointer cut the lead to six in the final seconds of the second quarter. However, St Anne hit a three of their own on the halftime buzzer to push the lead to 40-31. The Chargers hung around and actually got the lead to 43-39 late in the third and trailed by only six wth 5:00 left in the game. But the turnovers piled up down the stretch and Matthais fouled out and St Anne pulled away.
