Beecher took advantage of a cold-shooting night by the Chargers and built a double digit first half lead. Beecher hit 6 of their first 12 three-pointers on the night, mainly against the Charger zone defenses and opened up a 20 point 3rd quarter lead. IL finally connected from long range by hitting three 3's in the 4th quarter, but the damage had already been done. For the game the Chargers shot 31% (15-48) and Beecher shot 46% (19-41). Plus IL did not get to the FT line as often as they usually do as they had a difficult time penetrating the Beecher zone. Free throw attempts were in Beecher's favor, 18-9.
