Winter Sports Registration

Winter Sports Registration will be on Sunday, October 22nd. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Please turn in your current sports physical and pay your athletic fee at this time. The rules and coaches meetings will begin at 7:00 pm in the St. Edward cafeteria. These meetings are for parents and athletes. The $215 sports fee can be paid online (stedhs.org) prior to the meeting. Thank you!
 
Please make sure your student athlete(s) are registered prior to the start of their first practice.

RECAP
When its a big game (Championship, 4th game in a row in the heat), big time players step up...and that's what happened today with the Wave.  Franklin, Johansen and Gaston...goals and assists.  However, it was the lesser known names that sealed the deal for the Wave.  Big saves by Sajtar...two goal line saves by outside back Emilio Martinez, and never say die/heat don't matter attitude by every player on the roster carried the Wave to the Championship and Annual Pepsi Bath after.  Gaston opened the scoring in the 13th minute after a few near misses by the Wave.  Heading in a perfectly placed Johansen corner drew deafening noise from the HUGE St. Edward fanbase!  Then, 15 minutes into the second, Franklin broke free and gathered in a Gaston feed to bury it past the Lincoln Way keeper.  With only minutes left, Franklin ran down a Godfrey feed to finish off the scoring and seal the victory!  Coach Brieger doesn't have the words to describe the effort the boys put forth...6 games this week and four in a row in the unseasonable heat, playing a school almost 10 times our size, on turf...AMAZING.  Wave is back in action Tuesday at Chicago Christian.
