Varsity Drops to 3-2 in SWSC Red

Even though the final team score against Lincolnway Central was 6-1, that final score was not indicative of the actual closeness of the match. The lone win came at #3 doubles 6-2 6-1 by Mira Mascolino-Carr and Kaeli Maas. #1 doubles dropped a 3 set match and #2 doubles lost 6-4 7-6 and #4 lost 6-1 7-6. One of the best matches of the meet was at #1 singles where two 2016 State Qualifiers battled, with last year's Sectional runner up Emma Rimkunas (LWC) defeating last year's 4th place finisher Lily Darman (ANDREW) 6-3 6-4. The team's final SWSC Red record is 3-2 heading into next weekend's SWSC Red Conference tournament where Andrew will look to reverse the outcome. Season record is now 10-6.
