The TBOLTS were up against it from the start as they battled more than just the opposing team early Saturday morning. Whatever it was, they found themselves down 2 nil before Noah Spratt earned a goal back. Jacob Bosco ripped a free kick into the penalty area. It bounced off a couple defenders before rolling into space. Spratt pounced on the loose ball like a cat and roofed one over the keeper. Great goal.
The bolts conceded early in the second half, but Bosco earned a penalty as he was hooked down running towards the corner of the box. He calmly stepped up and finished low to the corner. Joliet West made it 4-2, but the bolts battled back again as Isaac Zumpano kept up his work rate and jumped on a ball mishandled by the keeper. One, two touches And the keeper was beaten to make it 4-3. A great goal by the Tigers sealed the defeat 5-3 late. Great job to never give up TBOLTS. Away to Bremen Monday, it doesn't get any easier.
