RANTOUL — Central Catholic High School made it a clean sweep Tuesday, winning the boys and girls championships in the Illini Prairie Conference Golf Tournament at Brookhill Golf Club.

The Saints boys had a 305 total led by medalist Parker Wisdom with a 1-under par 71. Prairie Central was second at 314. The Central girls won by 20 strokes with their 310 total. The Saints' Katie Steinman was second with a 72 behind medalist Ali Schrock of Pontiac at 71.

 

The boys runner-up was Pontiac's Griffin Nyi with a 72. The Saints' Sean Rubey was third (74), while Prairie Central's Payton Dunahee took fourth (75). Also counting for the victorious Saints were Tommy Nelson with a 77 and Ben Winslow with an 83. Pontiac placed third with a 327 total.

 

On the girls side, Central Catholic had Madison Clark tie for fifth (77) and Kylie Hundman place seventh (78). Faith Glazebrook had the Saints' fourth score with an 83.

 

St. Thomas More took second (330), with Pontiac third (365) and Olympia fourth (382). Dani Grace Schrock joined her sister in the top five, placing fourth with a 75.
