Girls Basketball Summer Information

Our off season program is a very important aspect of our basketball program.  With so many Middle Schools in Unit #4 that make up our teams, it is a very important time to build team chemistry and learn to play together instead of being opponents of each other.  We will focus on fundamental skills along with playing several games this summer.

While the summer program is not a mandatory thing, it is strongly recommended that you attend absolutely as much as possible.  Commitment and dedication to the Program are essential skills that needs to be displayed by the athletes in our Program.  Without commitment and dedication we will have a hard time building a successful culture and season.

Attached you will find a copy of the summer 2017 schedule, both “open gyms” and games.  Open gyms are skill workouts and practice type sessions, not strictly scrimmaging.  Incoming freshman for 2017-18 will be allowed to participate in those “open gym” sessions beginning on May 30th 2017.  IHSA rules dictate that until Centennial High School is out for the summer incoming freshman are not eligible to participate.

We have also created a website strictly for the Girls Basketball Program.  On the site you will find the complete schedule along with other information that is specific to our Program. That site address is

I have camp forms that need to be filled out as soon as possible.  The forms can be obtained by stopping by the Centennial Gym during our open gym times on the schedule to get them from myself or one of the other coaches.  PLEASE do not wait until the first open gym you can participate in to get the camp forms.  We will need the camp forms filled out and returned by no later than May 25th 2017 .  Forms can be returned to the Athletic Office at Centennial, given to a coach directly, or mailed to:
