SOUTH HIGH TO CLOSE DURING POWER WORK 7/21--7/28/17

Good afternoon:

 

Please be reminded that DGS will be closed from Friday, July 21st--Friday, July 28th due to necessary power upgrades in the building.

 

There will be no building access during this week.

 

Our main office is being relocated to the District Offices at 6301 Springside Ave. directly north of the stadium.  If you need to drop off physicals, we will maintain normal business hours there (7am-4pm) M-TH. of that week. 

 

If you have any specific questions, you may call or e-mail the Athletic Office.  We will have access to those systems while we are out.  630-795-8517 or lwivinis@csd99.org.

 

Thank you for your flexibility while we work through this necessary construction.

FALL SPORT REGISTRATION 2017 NOW OPEN in 8 to 18

Fall sport registration is now open on 8to18.  Click here to begin registration.  Scroll down and click the link under "Resources" in the left margin for all start up information (dates, times, locations, equipment needs, etc.) for all fall sports.  Remember that all athletes are required to have a valid physical on file in the AD office in order to tryout/practice.  Call the Athletic Office if you have any questions at 630-795-8517. GIRLS TRACK WHEATON NORTH CHAMPIONS.

WHEATON – Downers Grove South’s Nicole Muccianti anchored Soren Umali, Asia Branch and Clarice Maes on the winning 4x100-meter relay (50.70 seconds) and finished second in the 100 dash (12.67) and 200 dash (26.14) to help lead the Mustangs to the title at the Wheaton North invite April 13.

South scored 104 points to finish ahead of Neuqua Valley (89) and Wheaton Warrenville South (87) in the team standings.

Maddie Manganiello won the long jump (17 feet, 5.5 inches) and was second in the triple jump (34-7.5), while Umali was the runner-up in both the 100 hurdles (15.84) and 300 hurdles (48.21).

Brenna Cohoon was second in the 800 run (2:25.20), and the 4x400 relay of Erin Reidy, Cohoon, Kelley Hackbarth and Becky Versaskas also was second (4:14.93).
