The Downers Grove South High School girls swim team continued their winning streak with a defeating Morton by a score of 147 to 32. The Mustang Divers got the team off to a great start.  Maddie Puccillo, Giana Fallara, and Karoline Monaco took the top three places on the Varsity level, while Melina Pipilas, Erin Guardi and Megan Holley did the same on the Frosh-Soph level.  As the swimming portion of the meet began, the Varsity 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Anna Bogdanski, Savannah Duax, Sophia Duax, and Kaitlyn Hopp took first place and the team of Isabelle Genin, Aoife McGivern, Gabbie Muzykansky, and Samantha Vallo took second.  On the Frosh-Soph level, the team of Madeline Padavic, Madison Hopp, Jillian Scott, and Mary Davenport also scored a victory.

 

The Mustangs also swept the top three places in the 200 Yard Freestyle with Emma Sayre capturing the victory and Nicole Molnar and Alyssa Conderman placing second and third.  Jillian Scott and Mary Davenport also took the top two places on the Frosh-Soph level in the event.  Sophia Duax and Kaitlyn Hopp secured the top two places in the 200 Yard IM on the Varsity level, while Madeline Padavic picked up the win on the Frosh-Soph level.  Makaila Scheiblein, Nicole Molnar and Savannah Duax swept the top three positions in the 50 Yard Freestyle.  On the Frosh-Soph level, the Mustangs again took the top three positions with Katie Leinart, Sarah McMahon and Skyler Grovea finishing first, second and third.

 

In the 100 Yard Butterfly, Annie Leinart and Makaila Scheiblein took the top two positions for the Mustangs, while Jillian Scott and Katie Leinart did the same on the Frosh-Soph level.  The Mustangs then continued their dominance with Allie Puccillo, Emma Sayre, and Lauren Diddia swimming their way to the top three positions in the Varsity 100 Yard Freestyle.  Kylie Moser and Mackenzie Johnson finished first and second respectively in the event on the Frosh-Soph level.  Next up, Melanie Scheiblein, Allie Puccillo, and Anna Bogdanski secured the top three positions in the Varsity 500 yard freestyle, while Madeline Padavic, Sarah McMahon and Ashley Boak swept the event on the Frosh-Soph level.

 

As the meet continued, the Mustang 200 Yard Freestyle relay teams captured the top three positions.  Makaila Scheiblein, Emma Sayre, Sophia Duax, and Kaitlyn Hopp secured the victory, while the team of Allie Puccillo, Nicole Molnar, Gabbie Muzykansky, and Isabelle Genin and the team of Melanie Scheiblein, Annie Leinart, Savannah Duax, and Aoife McGivern finished second and third.  The Mustangs also picked up the win on the Frosh-Soph level with the team of Mary Davenport, Madison Hopp, Mackenzie Johnson, and Katie Leinart.  In the 100 Yard Backstroke, Annie Leinart, Anna Bogdanski and Melanie Scheiblein took the top three places on the Varsity level, while Mackenzie Johnson and Kate Stanely finished first and second on the Frosh-Soph level.  Seniors Savannah Duax, Aoife McGivern and Isabelle Genin captured the top three positions in the Varsity 100 Yard Breaststroke.  On the Frosh-Soph level, Madison Hopp swam her way to victory in the same event, while Mary Davenport and Ashley Boak finished second and third.  

 

In the final events of the night, the Mustang 400 Yard Freestyle Relay teams captured the top three positions.  Makaila Scheiblein, Nicole Molnar, Anna Bogdanski, and Kaitlyn Hopp secured the victory, while the team of Melanie Scheiblein, Allie Puccillo, Annie Leinart, and Sophia Duax finished second and the team of Gabbie Muzykansky, Emma Sayre, Aoife McGivern and Isabelle Genin finished third.  On the Frosh-Soph level, the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay teams took the top two positions.  The team of Jillian Scott, Madeline Padavic, Katie Leinart and Mackenzie Johnson took first and the team of Kate Stanley, Sarah Sostek, Tavish Kerr, and Sarah McMahon took second.

 

Next, the Lady Mustangs with take on Addison Trail Willowbrook as they continue to swim toward their goal of another sole conference championship.
