Girls Basketball - Dundee-Crown blows out Crystal Lake Central
After a pair of disappointing losses last week the Dundee-Crown girls basketball team bounced back in a big way on Tuesday night.
The Chargers got back on the winning track with an impressive 50-20 victory over Crystal Lake Central in Fox Valley Conference action.
"We really needed a game like this," Dundee-Crown coach Sarah Miller said. "This was a total team victory. Every player on the floor made a big contribution. We were just ready to go from the start and kept it going all four quarters."
The Chargers (6-4, 4-2) broke open the game early with a 16-4 run late in the first quarter and early in the second quarter to pull ahead 21-8. Senior Kennedy White and freshman Gianine Boado each had 3-pointers during the run. The Chargers as a team made 8 of 12 3-point shots in the game.
