High school boys soccer: Dundee-Crown beats Prairie Ridge in battle of unbeatens

In overtime of a scoreless game, the ball went out of bounds off a Prairie Ridge defender and the Chargers were awarded a throw-in. Karl wasted no time picking the ball up and firing it to an open Estrada (pictured right).

“I just remember being wide open in the middle,” Estrada said. “There was nobody there. My teammate Jim Karl was sprinting for the ball and he had the throw-in. I was wide open and I saw the goalie off his line and I just shot it. Thankfully it went in.”

“Oh man, I can’t even describe it,” Estrada said. “It’s an amazing feeling. That’s a really good team.”

Dundee-Crown (12-0-2, 4-0 Fox Valley Conference) remains unbeaten, while handing Prairie Ridge (14-1, 4-1 FVC) its first loss of the year.
