High school boys soccer: Dundee-Crown shuts out Huntley with strong 2nd half

CARPENTERSVILLE — As Tuesday evening's Fox Valley Conference soccer match between Dundee-Crown and Huntley wore on, it seemed inevitable that the Chargers would break loose.

After a scoreless first half, that's exactly what happened, as the Chargers (6-0, 1-0 FVC) emerged victorious thanks to a pair of second-half goals in a six-minute span — and a valiant defensive effort — to stay unbeaten with the 2-0 win.

The first tally came at the 42-minute mark, when Michigan St. commit Julian Ajroja hooked a pass near the top-middle of the goalie box, which was headed in by senior midfielder Gerardo Estrada.
