Lions edge Westmont in extra innings

It took the JV Lions 8 innings, but they prevailed over tough pitching in the end with timely hitting and defense. The duo of Sam Russo and Connor Nigro held the Sentinals to only 2 runs while striking out 7 including making some timely pitches. Down 1 in the seventh, the boys fought back to tally runs in both the last two innings to tie and eventually take the lead on a Russo 2 out triple and error that brought him all the way around. The boys will gear up again for the rematch tomorrow.
