A CURRENT PHYSICAL IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO TRY OUT FOR ANY SPORT

(PLEASE NOTE:  ALL FRESHMEN MEDICAL PHYSICALS ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR

 ALL SPORTS TEAMS FOR THE YEAR 2016-2017)

 

Boys Cross Country – Head Coach Steve Davidson - All interested candidates (all year levels) for Boys

Cross Country is to report to the track at 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

  • All runners (including incoming freshmen) should be running over the summer and are encouraged to run with the team on scheduled days. Email Coach Davidson for running schedule: davidson.stephen@marist.net.

  • Bring water, running shoes, and a watch with a stopwatch.

  • To participate, a current physical must be on file; there will be no exceptions.

     

    Girls Cross Country – Head Coach Pat QuinnAll interested candidates (all grade levels) for Cross

            Country is to report to the track at 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

  • Bring running gear, running shoes, and water bottle.

  • To participate, a current physical must be on file; there will be no exceptions.

 

Football –Freshman Head Coach Ron Dawczak

  • ALL FRESHMEN ARE WELCOME TO JOIN THE FRESHMEN TEAM.

  • Football practice for freshman will begin on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 2:30pm till 8:30pm.Please bring your own lunch and drink for the break provided.

  • Bring plenty of fluids (water, Gatorade, etc.), a notebook and a pen, athletic attire, football spikes, gym shoes.

  • FRESHMEN DO NOT NEED A SPORTS PHYSICALS.

     

    Sophomore/Varsity Football – Head Sophomore Coach PJ Fortner/

     Head Varsity Coach Pat Dunne

  • All sophomore and Varsity levels report Monday, Please bring your own lunch for the break provided.

  • ALL SOPHOMORE AND VARSITY PLAYERS MUST BRING A CURRENT PHYSICAL – No exceptions.

  • Bring plenty of fluids (water, Gatorade, etc.), a notebook and a pen, athletic attire, football spikes, gym shoes and a lock for locker.

     

    Boys Golf – Head Coach Joel Vickers

  • Boys Golf tryouts will be a two day tryout to be for Freshmen/Sophomores and Varsity.Every participant will play 9 holes each day and the fee is $12.00 per day.  To participate, a current physical must be on file; there will be no exceptions.

Girls Golf – Coach Andy Hodorowicz

  • Girls Golf tryouts will be held on .Please email (blisk.susan@marist.net) by August 1st if you plan to tryout so a tee time can be reserved for you on both days.You must attend both days.Fee for tryouts is $25.00.  To participate, a current physical be on file; physical, there will be no exceptions.

 

Boys Soccer – Head Coach Sean Maxwell

  • All soccer tryouts will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, August 10-11, 2016.

  • All incoming freshmen report from 7:30-10:30am at the varsity soccer field. 

  • All sophomores/JV prospective players report to the varsity soccer field from 9:00-11:30am. 

  • All players (juniors/seniors) trying out for the varsity team, report to the varsity soccer field from 7:00-9:00am and again from 2:00-3:30pm on the varsity soccer field.

  • Bring running shoes, soccer spikes, shin guards, a soccer ball, and a water bottle.

To participate, a current physical must be on file; there will be no exceptions

 

Girls Swimming – Head Coach Kelly Sullivan

  • Girls who are interested in returning to or trying out for the swim team must register for the time trials. 

  • To register,  email your name, year in school, home phone number, and email address to

    Coach Sullivan (at SULLIVAN.KELLY@MARIST.NET) by Monday, August 1, 2016.

  • Information regarding the date, time, and place of time trials will be sent to girls who are registered.   

  • To participate in time trials, a current physical must be on file; there will be no exceptions.

     

    Girls Tennis – Head Coach Brian Burns

  • All interested candidates for Frosh/Soph Girls Tennis should report to the

  • All interested candidates for Varsity Girls Tennis should report to the tennis

  • Bring tennis racquet and a water bottle.

  • To participate a current physical must be on file; there will be no exceptions.

     

    Girls Volleyball – Head Coach Jordan Vidovic

    **All incoming freshmen must attend at least one IPAD training session this year. Training is scheduled for the week of August 8th thru the11th or Monday August 15th. Please make sure you do not sign up for a session that will conflict with the freshman girls volleyball tryouts. You must be present on both days. Thank you

  • All interested candidates (freshmen) for Girls Volleyball are to report to the main gym at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10,   2016.  Tryouts will be held August 10th & 11th 9:00 a.m.-noon both days. Athletes will need to eat a good breakfast.

  • Current sophomores, juniors and seniors should report at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, August 10th & 11th 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

  • All athletes interested in trying out need to bring court shoes, running shoes, and Gatorade or water. 

  • To participate, a current physical must be on file; there will be no exceptions.
