Game Summary

Underclassmen Stepping Up!

Many of the teams we face talk about being young. That has never been an excuse we use in our program. If you are put on Varsity you need to step up and play like you belong. In our last two games, our younger players have proven that they belong and will make a difference.

In our 2-1 loss to Batavia, it was Freshman Holly Skrip who found the net to tie the game up after Batavia was rewarded a PK. In a very disappointing call, the home team was given a Direct on top of the box and would go on to win 2-1. The team played well against a very good team and were always in a position to tie or win the game.

Today we would beat visiting Hinsdale Central 3-0. We came out ready to play. We kept HC under pressure the first 40 minutes. It was a great half of soccer to watch. Cullotta, DeCesare, and Olander each found the net. For a sophomore and two Freshman to get us a 3-0 lead at half was amazing. Claire Ramsey did a great job winning balls and collecting 2 assists.

Once again our defense had a great game along with MC Harrington earning a shutout.

Next up Benet at home Tuesday!
