Online Registration Is Now Open For 2018 Fall Sports

Normal West students who wish to participate in athletics will be required to register online for their sports beginning this fall for the 2018-19 school year.  Athletes and parents will register through a link on the athletic website which is listed below.  Parent permission forms, concussion forms, and other legal documents will be completed online.  A current physical will still need to be submitted in the main office or athletic office prior to the first sport practice/tryout date.  If you submit the physical to the main office, remember to let the person know that the physical is for athletics.  Gold slips will no longer be issued.  Each coach will get a list of athletes who have cleared for their sport.  Contact Stan Lewis at lewiss@unit5.org or 309-557-4976 with any questions.

Varsity Football Defeats Danville

The varsity football team defeated visiting Danville by the score of 76-35 on Friday night.  Carson Camp threw three TD passes (CJ Davis, Cole Hernandez, and Malik Tucker), and Tre Matthews had a 99 yard interception return for a touchdown.  Armani Forrest and Adriel Fussell scored two touchdowns each.  Holden Lueck and Camani Jordan also scored rushing touchdowns.  Carson Camp was 4 of 6 passing for 175 yards while CJ Lewis was 8 of 12 for 121 yards.  Armani Forrest led the rushing attack with 75 yards on three carries.  Genesis Forrest had 68 yards on 13 carries, and Adriel Fussell added 65 yards on seven carries.  The Wildcats improved to 4-1 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.
