 WELCOME TO THE ...

PROVIDENCE CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL

CHEERLEADING PROGRAM

It is with great pride that we welcome you to the Providence Catholic High School Cheerleading Program!  The Varsity Celtics are 2013 State Champions, 2016 State Runners Up, five-time Sectional Champions, and five-time National Champions.  Providence Catholic High School Cheerleading is an extracurricular activity offering two team levels: Junior Varsity (9th-11th grade) and Varsity (9th-12th grade). The core Augustinian values of truth, unity and love serve as the foundation of our program. PCHS Cheerleading supports the mission and vision of Providence Catholic High School not only through athletics, but through education and service as well.

The PCHS Cheerleading Program provides an opportunity for students to challenge themselves every day and to learn life lessons that will optimize their overall development. Team members promote school spirit and pride by cheering and performing at school games, assemblies and events, and by competing in competitions. They develop strong character and commitment, and make their Catholic faith an important part of their team experience through participation in community outreach activities and by attending team prayer services and Masses. The value of teamwork and good sportsmanship is emphasized. Each team member is encouraged to put forth an honest effort and strive for excellence so they may reach their fullest potential as individuals and as a team.

We have a very qualified coaching staff within the Providence Catholic Cheerleading Program.  The PC cheer coaches have over 40 years of combined coaching experience.  Our PC cheer coaches are National Federation of State High School Associations Level 1 Accredited and Level 2 Certified Interscholastic Coaches, IHSA Coaches, AACCA Safety-Certified, CPR and AED-Trained, have taken courses regarding concussions from the NFHS and the IHSA, and are Virtus Trained (Protecting God's Children).  Be sure to visit our "Roster" page to check out the complete bios and backgrounds of our cheerleading coaching staff.
