The Wildcats came to WV Thursday with a lineup that has so much parity that the Warriors struggled after first singles. The lone win came at first singles where Anthony Nguyen kept his winning ways going as he bested the opponent 2,1. " Anthony has been getting better at finishing matches since his first two went three sets we have discussed taking care of business. He was very focused as he won 10 of the last 11 games to close out a point for WV. This is where Neuqua Valleys talent and depth took over. Shridhar and Holyoak put up a battle before going down 2 and 3. At #2 and #3 doubles the Warriors could not win a game. At 4 singles Andrew Bridgeman had a marathon that ended in a third set 6-1 loss to his opponent." Andrew is really trying to accellarate his ground strokes. Along with this comes unforced errors and that comes with the territory. I like that he is trying to up his game but it comes with some trepidation." Sophomore Tejas Satpalkar battled to a 3 and 2 loss at #3 singles. "Tejas got a bit anxious on some shots that cost him. that comes with the youth. I am impressed with his competitive nature." Senior Huey Nguyen struggled with the 2 singles match and lost 1,0. "We need to be more patient with out groundstrokes and be willing to battle longer." The Warriors record moved to 2-2 and 1-2 in the conference. They will compete in the Naperville North Invite this Saturday.
