WHEATON WARRENVILLE SOUTH
The Warriors visited Wheaton South and had just enough to win a tightly contested dual meet 4-3. Solid wins came at 3 and 4 singles from Andrew Bridgeman and Neel Kamatgi and also 2 Doubles with Humza Nazir and Tejas Satpalkar. The final point came in a long three set match at 1 singles where Nguyen out lasted his opponent 3-6, 7-5, and 6-4. Down 2-4 in the third set Anthony mustered the inner beast to overcome a 0-30 score to win the next four games in a row. "Anthony has shown great resolve in his matches and is competing well. He needs to stop wondering in and out of concentration and stay aggressive all the time." The toughest loss came at three doubles where Huff and Ahuja fought to a three set loss. "We tried to hit some shots that are out of our tree and could not keep a steady ball in play. Hopefully we learned a lesson to just hit shots we are capable of and not go for so much. I really liked their competitive spirit."
