Game Summary

tough three set matches.

Naperville North won 6-1 in the conference match last night while the Warriors were led by junior standout Anthony Nguyen. His three set victory over Norths' one singles was a tough up and down match. "Nguyen won a tough first set 7-5 and then the wheels came off the train. Losing the second set with no consisitency 6-1. The junior switched sides in the third set down 2-3 still trying to get a hold of the ball in the court with windy and cold weather. He put together a run of four games to win 6-3. "Anthony has to be more patience with the game in terms of the weather. He, at times likes to go for the big shot and doesnt need to be so BIG. His temperment sets the tone for his day and he was really frustrated. Still he competed against a quality foe and came out on top. Anthony has a huge tournament this weekend, NaperValley, that will give him a look into the state tournament in three weeks." A long three set loss at third singles was Andrew Bridgeman battling to a 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 match. "Andrew played well in this match. Playing within his style of tennis. Up 4-1 in the third set his opponent stopped going for so much and settled down by hitting in the middle of the court and then moving to the net. going down 4-5 Andrew fought back hodling his serve before losing the last two games. It was an epic match in that offense verses defense and Andrew was right there with him." The Warriors play thier last confernce match thursday at home against Wheaton North.
