Game Summary

"Almost a clean sweep"

The Warriors traveled to the 33rd Annual Rosary Quad this Saturday and left with the championship trophy by winning 17 of the 18 matches. Champions were as follows. 1 singles: Hannah Owens, 2 singles: Angelica Alvarez, 3 singles: Carrington Patterson, 1 doubles: Megan Wright/Uma Kothuri, and 3 doubles: April Kochman/Kendall Gooch. The wild match of the day came at 2 doubles where Kayla Hess/Kendall Ashley batteled Rosary in a tough loss. The scores were 2-6, 7-6, 13-11. The Warriors had seven match point in the second and third sets and could not convert. "I was impressed with the fight they showed. Lots of chances to end the match in the second set but give Rosary credit they did not fold." Overall I was proud with the girls effort and a huge shout out to the parents for spending time at the tournament also! The Warriors get back into the tough DVC on Tuesday at home against Wheaton South. Hannah Owens leads the Warriors with a 17-4 record so far this season. Also right behind her is Angelica Alvarez with a 14-6 record.
