Sink or Swim, Lane Swims Past Von Steuben

LANE TECH - The Lane Tech girls swim team remains dominating the water with a 3-peat under their swim caps and a clear view of their future city champ plaque through their goggles. Lane ended the night with a 80 point varsity lead against Von Steuben with a score of 104 to 24.

The girls placed first through third for every single event on Thursday evening, leaving Von Steuben in the dust. Jannie Esperon, a third year varsity swimmer, gave us insight on the team’s performance quality confidence stating, “Our meet against Von was an easy win. Everyone swam good times and as long as we continue training and performing as we are now, we’re on track to claiming city champions, once again.”

The pride continues on through the Lane hallways as these girls walk through victorious, social distanced and mask on, of course. Many may walk past the Lane Tech pool and smell chlorine, but pass by it now and all you smell is triumph. The girls have their next meet Thursday afternoon against Taft where they can walk out with a 4 for 4, and I’m not talking about the Wendy’s meal deal.
