WASHINGTON HS- The Lane Tech girls varsity volleyball team continue to build on a great season so far with a captivating win over Chicago Washington on Thursday. The team won in three sets with scores of 25-22, 22-25, and 25-17.
Lane was able to control the tempo throughout the game, which allowed them to set up ways to score. Washington didn't go easy however, and cut the Lane leads to one or two points at times during the game. Lane was able to win the first set, which gave them confidence, but Washington was able to beat Lane in the second set by 3 points. Lane rallied and was able to beat Washington in the third and final set by a commanding 8 points.
With this win Lane moves to 5-2 overall, and a conference record of 3-2 holding wins over Taft and Von Steuben. Lane looks to keep their hot streak alive when they play Depaul College Prep on Monday April 19. Washington sits at 2-5 overall and in conference and looks to rebound off the loss when they face Lindblom on Monday April 19 as well.
