Varsity GBB Comeback Falls Short
The Varsity Lady Lions played host yesterday to the second place Eisenhower Generals and, despite a solid second half, the girls from Lisle fell by the count of twenty eight to eighteen. First half shooting woes ultimately did the Lions in as they tried to overcome a thirteen point halftime hurdle. In the second half, hot shooting from Calista Sharafinski and Kaitlyn Ebert helped put some pressure on the Generals, but ultimately they pulled away to win by ten. Leading the scoring charge with six points each were Sharafinski and Ebert, while McKenna Kane chipped in four. This loss moves the girls’ record to two wins and three defeats at the halfway mark if the regular season.
