Winter Sports Pause

Parents & Athletes

If you aren’t aware, the Governor’s Office has moved the entire state to “Tier 3” mitigations effective Friday, November 20, 2020 at 12:01am.  This more restrictive mitigation plan is in response to the increasing number of COVID cases, hospitalizations and deaths in the State of Illinois and DuPage County.

As you are also aware, our activities and protocols are accountable to a number of governing bodies including the Governor’s Office, IDPH, ISBE, the DuPage County Department of Health and NCUSD 203.  The large number of groups makes it very difficult to understand what we are able to do with all activities.  Regardless, this is where we stand at this point in time:

Athletic activities may continue Today and Thursday as we have been doing since Monday of this week.  We will follow the exact same protocols for safety and well-being that we have been previously executing.  Beginning Friday, November 20, 2020, we will pause all in-person contact with our teams.  A date for us to return is TBA

The IHSA is scheduled for a board meeting on 11/19 and more information on the winter season will be forthcoming from that meeting.  Coaches will be reaching out to your son or daughter and will be allowed to set up zoom meetings and suggest at home workouts while we are in the no contact pause order.
