Dennis Cleveland
Assistant Coach

Dennis Cleveland graduated from Coe College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Physical Education. He would than attend the University of Iowa and receive his Masters of Science in Athletic Administration. He started his coaching career as both the girls and boys varsity teams at Shellsburg Community High School. He would then move on to be the Junior Varsity Coach at Coe College. After finishing the season, the University of Illinois Chicago would hire him as assistant coach for the next 2 seasons. After trying his hand in the college ranks, Coach Cleveland would move on and become a coach at Lincoln-Way High School for the next 10 years. He would spend 8 of those years as the Head Sophomore Coach. The next 9 years he moved on to become a Varsity Assistant at Providence Catholic. His last year before returning back to Providence was spent as a Varsity Assistant at Joliet Catholic.

Randy Holzhauer
Assistant Coach

Randy Holzhauer attended Washington High School in Washington, Illinois. While there he was named as an All-State Honorable Mention in 1979 by the Chicago Sun Times and was also a 2 time Mid-State 10 All-Conference Team Selection. His senior year he led the Mid-State Conference in scoring and helped his team to 2 regional championships. Randy started his college career at Illinois Central Junior College. While there he was a 2 time all-conference selection and was named the Region 5 MVP in 1982. In 1982 his team made the national tournament and in April 2014 they were inducted into the Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame. After Illinois Central he would continue his basketball career at Division 2 Central Missouri. Once his playing career was over, Randy would serve as athletic director and basketball coach at St. Jude Grade School in New Lenox, IL for 23 years.

Kyle Murphy
Head Coach

Kyle Murphy is a graduate of Providence Catholic High School, class of 2004. He attended Loyola University receiving a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Psychology. Coach Murphy received his Masters in School Counseling from Lewis University in 2010. He spent one year as the sophomore assistant at Oak Forest High School. In 2010 he became the Head Freshman Coach at Providence Catholic High School. In 2015 he moved to assistant varsity coach. He is currently the Senior/College counselor and Director of Student Activities at Providence Catholic. In 2018 Coach Murphy was hired as the new Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.

Ryan Clavenna
Assistant Coach

Coach Clavenna played basketball and baseball at Lincoln Way West High School in New Lenox, IL. As a senior he was named to the All Area Baseball Team. After high school he went on to attend Joliet Junior College where he would play baseball. He would later transfer to the Univerity of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He received his degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism with a concentration in Sport Management. Coach Clavenna was hired in 2017 as a Sophomore Boys Basketball Assistant Coach.

Matt Eddington
Assistant Coach

Matt Eddington attended Jasper Place HS in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Carson City HS in Carson City, NV, class of 1999. He was a 4 year varsity basketball player. He graduated from Lewis University with his B.A. in psychology. Coach Eddington started out coaching in youth basketball leagues at various YMCA locations. He was hired in 2010 to be the Assistant Freshman Coach and the Freshman B Team Head Coach.

Mike Hicks
Head Coach

Mike Hicks played for hall of fame coach Dean Riley at Ottawa High School. He would go on and attend school at Illinois Valley CC and Illinois State University. Prior to becoming a Celtic his first stop was at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights. He spent 2 seasons as the Head Freshman Coach. He would than spend the next 8 seasons as the Head Sophomore Coach. After 10 seasons at St. Viator, he became the Head Sophomore Coach at Midland High School in Varma, IL. Coach Hicks was hired in 2010 to be the Head Sophomore Coach for the Celtics.

Noah Senffner
Head Coach

Noah Senffner is a graduate of the Providence Catholic High School Class of 2014. He played basketball while attending and was apart of the 2013 Regional Championship team. Prior to PCHS he attended and played basketball for St. Jude in New Lenox. Coach Senffner attended both Joliet Junior College and the University of St. Francis, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in the Spring of 2018. He is currently working on his Master's Degree in Special Education, also at the University of St Francis. His family is a big part of the Providence family. His uncle, Luke Senffner is Head of the Counseling Department at Providence, and his grandfather, Matt Senffner, was the Head Football Coach at Providence for nearly 40 years.
