IHSA Temporarily Pauses All Sports
In alignment with the IDPH Tier 3 mitigations, the IHSA suspended all high school sports on Friday, November 20. A limited number of sports - bowling, cheer, dance, and boy’s swimming and diving - were previously permitted to continue with their winter season. All in person activity from these sports will remain on “pause” until the state determines it is safe to move forward.
The IHSA Board of Directors will continue plotting out potential paths for IHSA sport and activity participation through the remainder of the school year. When these decisions are made the outcomes will be discussed locally and shared to our student-athletes and families. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to YHS Athletic Director, Luke Engelhardt at email@example.com if you have any questions.

News and Announcements
This year we have implimented a workout Wednesday routine. On the nights we are not having a match the group gets together in the YHS weight room and worksout together. These ladies have learned that in order to be a good athlete you must take care of body, mind and soul. We were very fortunate to have Tairi Kearns join us on two dates for a yoga class. She was truly amazing and the girls realy had fun. Looking forward to keeping Wednesdays a team activity night for future seasons.
