Dramatic Comeback Victory

The Lady Foxes started slowly and did not get it going until the third quarter. The biggest deficit was 13 points in the second quarter. The Foxes finished the third with a game changing 6-0 run. The run was capped by defensive plays and a 3-point bomb by Kayla Kennelly. Kayla was part of a defensive play at the end of the quarter to prevent the Panthers from scoring. The Foxes took their first lead on a 3-point baseline shot by Ava Hendershott. Oswego made a free throw to tie the score but a made free throw by Ellie Alvarez and 2 by Courtney Morse put Yorkville ahead by 3, 29-26. Oswego made a harmless field goal at the buzzer for the 29-28 final score.Ava led the tam with 9 points and Courtney had 8. The two were co-leaders with 6 rebounds each and Karson Davey had 5. Courtney and Rylie Sewell each had 4 steals. Next up is a home contest against Plainfield North.
