New Athletic Trainer

We would like to welcome our new Certified Athletic Trainer to Central High School, Meryl Swidler.  Meryl is a longtime resident of Gilberts and is very familiar with the Fox Valley Conference as she graduated from Hampshire High.  She most recently completed her Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from the University of Kansas (KU), Rock Chalk!  While studying athletic training at KU, Meryl had the opportunity to work with KU Athletics, local high schools, and professional teams including: KU Track & Field/Cross Country, KU Women's Rowing, KU Football, and the Kansas City Mavericks Hockey Team.  Meryl has been an athlete her whole life competing in sports such as dance, cheer, karate and kickboxing.  Whether she is competing as an athlete or caring for others injuries, she loves to be involved in athletics.  Her goal for joining the Rockets Team is to provide the best care for our student athletes and have open lines of communication with coaches, parents, and the students.  Lastly, she is excited to jump right in to fall season and have a great rest of 2019-2020 school year with Central High School.
