BOYS GOLF | Varsity
2018 Season Preview
The golf team returns Tommy Staruck, Jake Pileggi, Matt Garcia, Gavin Fister, and Michael Wronkiewicz from last year's team. Tommy Staruck had a very strong freshman season last year playing the 1 or 2 spot in every competition. Jake Pileggi, Matt Garcia, and Michael Wronkiewicz also earned valuable experience to bring into this season. The program is seeking it's 5th conference title in a row this season. Junior Matt Johnson and senior Trevor Owcarz are first year varsity players along with sophomores Matt Frauendorff, Ethan Shoop, and Andrew Calek. Frauendorff has started the season playing the number 2 spot. Tommy Staruck shot a four under par 68 at Naperbrook in the second tournament of the season complemented by Matt Frauendorff's 76 and Gavin Fister's 77. It should be an exciting season with our eyes not only on the WSC Gold Division championship, but also on the IHSA State Series.
