The Mustangs captured the 2019 WSC Gold Conference Championship with the ultimate team performance. Over the two day period, the Mustangs were 20-0 in individual matches played. The only loss was a default by 1st singles player Mitch Ludewig who was sick on Friday and unable to play. He bounced back and went undefeated on Saturday to win the backdraw. All 6 other flights the Mustangs prevailed in. 1st doubles team of Matt Garcia and Ryan Krakowiak cruised to the finals and beat Hinsdale South's top doubles team in straight sets. Other straight set champs came at 3rd singles (Robert Gasmen), 3rd doubles (Sushant Lala and Ryan Scehovic), and 4th doubles (Rishi Raja and Matt Jablonski). The matches of the day came at 2nd singles (Tanuj Singh) and 2nd doubles (Mike Wronkiewicz and James Rodden) where both peaked in 3rd set tiebreakers to claim victories over great players from Hinsdale South. The Mustangs will continue their postseason success with the sectional meet next week on Friday and Saturday. It was a GREAT day to be a Mustang!
