HHS Athletic Cancellations-
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, and after the announcement from Illinois Governor Pritzker, mandated school closures will remain in place until the end of the school year. ALL extracurricular activities & practices will be cancelled through this time after the IHSA announcement on Tuesday-4/21/20, that the 2020 IHSA state spring sport series is canceled. In addition, all Harmony road campus athletic facilities are closed. Signs are posted on all entrances to these facilities indicating the closure. Please do not climb fences or try to circumvent these closures as the Huntley police department will be out to enforce this expectation.
In addition, the IHSA also determined that summer contact days are suspended for this year, unless state government and medical leaders indicate such gatherings are safe. At that time, the Board indicated a willingness to reconsider how summer contact might be conducted and whether opportunities for schools to conduct some kind of spring athletic events might occur.
Our thoughts right now are with all the impacted students, coaches and families of Huntley. We especially are thinking of our seniors. HHS seniors' legacy and impact on our school and athletic program is indeed a special one!
Please stay safe and healthy in these difficult times and we can't wait until we can return to some normalcy.
