vball_superMarist will face Benet Academy in the IHSA 4A state semifinal match on Friday, November 15 at 8:30 p.m. A win Friday advances the team to the state championship match on Saturday, November 16 at approximately 8:55 p.m. against the winner of Fremd/Wheaton-Warrenville South. A third place match will be played at 7:25 p.m. on Saturday. 

The state tournament is held at Illinois State University's Redbird Arena. Tickets are $8 per person per day and will be sold at the door. Please note: ISU does not allow fans to bring back packs or large bags into the facility.

A student fan bus will leave Marist at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Students must be signed into their Marist email accounts to access the sign up form. See Mr. Brennan for more information.

The matches will be streamed live on the NFHS Network. There is a $10.99 monthly charge for NFHS Network/IHSA.tv. A single subscription gets Marist fans both the volleyball matches and Saturday's football game.

Marist girls' volleyball team won its third straight super-sectional on Friday, November 8 against Sandburg. The team captured the sectional title with a win over McAuley. They defeated Argo in the sectional semifinal. The team captured the regional title with wins over Proviso East and Stagg.

On Saturday, the Marist Varsity Men's Cross Country TEAM traveled to Burbank, Illinois for the Reavis Rams Invitational. The field featured 26 high schools. Marist finished in SECOND place, and had a record of 24-1 on the day! In one year, Marist went from 12th place (2018) to SECOND place in 2019! The RedHawks were led by Sophomores Andrew Kerlin, Jake Phillips, and Junior Kevin Bugos. Andrew Kerlin (14th), Jake Phillips (15th), and Kevin Bugos (18th) ran in a tight pack to secure vital points for the RedHawks and were awarded MEDALS for placing in the Top 20. Captain Caleb Davis finished 31st overall, and was awarded a Ribbon. Sophomore Brendan Geary secured victory for the RedHawks by finishing ahead of the fifth runner from 24 high schools to finish 32nd overall! Brendan Geary was also awarded a Ribbon. Junior Jonathan Rivera and Sophomore Michael Golden finished sixth and seventh respectively for the RedHawks. Marist posted impressive victories over IHSA Regional opponents, and ESCC rivals at the Reavis Rams Invitational. Marist will travel to Peoria next Saturday for the Richard Spring Invitational. The field will include a high school from Claremont, California!"
