Out of Season Sports Contact Days Info and Bus Schedules

Panthers and Panther Parents,

During the time period from Sept 7 to Oct 31, IHSA is allowing all out of season sports to have additional contact days where coaches can work with and coach students.  A number of our sports programs will take part in this.  Here is the link that will show the bus routes that will run each school day during remote learning to get students to OHS for a 3:10 pm drop off if it is needed for a student to get here for an athletic contact day.  There is no return service, so students would have to be picked up from OHS after thier contact day is done.  All students would have to follow the Phase 4 Guidelines in order to participate.

If you have interest in any particular sport, here is the link for the e-mail addresses of each head coach of an out of season sport that you can contact for more information.   COACH E MAILS

Panthers Just Miss Placing at Oswego East Invite

The Panthers bowled at their home house, Parkside Lanes, and competed in a field of 10 teams at the Oswego East Wolves Invite this past Saturday.  The team was carried in the morning by freshman Lani Breedlove who had a career 3-game series of 711 on games of 256, 200, and 255.  Junior Savanna Jourdan also had a solid morning series of 568 with scores of 181, 167, and 220.  Oswego's team scores of 873, 780, and 951 were good enough to land them in 3rd place, the final spot qualifying for a team award, as they went into the lunch break.

The afternoon shot became a grind as the lanes broke down and there was little oil left.  This caused a transition that lowered scores across the field and the Panthers' team scores of 811, 795, and 783 were not quite enough to hold onto their 3rd place spot as they dropped to 4th to finish the tournament.

Two Panthers earned individual medals, including Breedl ove who shot an exellent 1,259 (210 average) and finished in 2nd place, and Jourdan (1,088; 181 average) who finished in 6th place overall.  Also contributing to Oswego's 4th place finish were Lily Ratledge (921), Katelyn Watson (879), and Evelyn James (864).
