Out of Season Sports Contact Days Info and Bus Schedules

Panthers and Panther Parents,

During the time period from Sept 7 to Oct 31, IHSA is allowing all out of season sports to have additional contact days where coaches can work with and coach students.  A number of our sports programs will take part in this.  Here is the link that will show the bus routes that will run each school day during remote learning to get students to OHS for a 3:10 pm drop off if it is needed for a student to get here for an athletic contact day.  There is no return service, so students would have to be picked up from OHS after thier contact day is done.  All students would have to follow the Phase 4 Guidelines in order to participate.

If you have interest in any particular sport, here is the link for the e-mail addresses of each head coach of an out of season sport that you can contact for more information.   COACH E MAILS

Solid Finish for Young Panther Squad

The Oswego High School Girls Bowling Team welcomes several new faces to the program this season and, as a result, they rostered a new-look varsity team at their first tournament of the season on Saturday, November 30th at Plainfield Lanes.  Junior Savanna Jourdan was the only Panther who saw meaningful varsity playing time last season who also  bowled this past weekend for the team's varsity squad.

The Panthers competed in a field of 22 teams at the WIldcat Invite and the young squad held their own with a very consistent morning round which included team games of 837, 807, and 846 and found themselves in the top 10 of the tournament.  Freshman Lani Breedlove was high bowler for the Panthers in the morning with a very nice 633 morning series followed by Junior Savanna Jourdan who rolled 574 as the two provided a nice one-two punch for Oswego.

In the first game of the afternoon, Oswego continued their solid performance with 833 in game four followed by 771 in game five.  Heading into the final game of the tournament, Oswego was hanging on to 5th place by a narrow margin before rolling 797 in the final game of the tournament to finish in 7th place overall.  Once again, Breedlove led the squad in the afternoon with a 597 and the Freshman's six-game total of 1,230 (205 average) was good for 2nd place individually in the tournament of over 130 bowlers.  An excellent showing for her first ever high school competition.  Jourdan's six-game total of 1,057 was good for 29th place individually.
