Wrestling Registration

Registration for Wrestling is now open.  The season will begin on April 19, 2021.  Please start the registraton process by clicking the "Registration" tab above. 

All athletes must be registered on 8 to 18 and have a current physical on file in order to tryout. If you are unsure if you have a valid physical, or if you want to email us your physical, please email: southelginhighschoolathletics@u-46.org.

If your student has been registered for a sport before, or if he/she registered for a camp or contact days, you need to use the same log-in email and password as before.   If this is your first time registering on 8to18, you will need to use an email and create a password. This email is used by coaches and the athletic office for  sending out messages and other sports related information to you.  You must have a current sports physical on file with the Athletic Office or Nurses Office before the first day of try-outs. (Do not bring the day of tryouts)

Wrestling 2021

The 2020-2021 Wrestling Season will begin April 19th and run through June 12th. All SEHS athletes/wrestlers must have a physical on file with the school Nurse, the Athletic Department and Register on 8to18 South Elgin. On the first day of practice, April 19th at 3:20 pm, all levels: Freshman, JV and Varsity are to report directly to the wrestling room, with proper workout attire, (shorts, t-shirt/sweatshirt, gym shoes and wrestling shoes. When entering the school through door #51, the proper COVID Health screening procedures are to be followed:
Self certify
Face mask
Enter through door #51
Water bottle
Practice time during weekly school days, (M-T-W-TH-F) will be from 3:20 - 5:20 pm for all levels, Freshman through Varsity. There may be days when wrestlers will be dismissed early from practice, (check program calendar) which will be sent home with the student athlete. Saturday, or Holiday practices will take place in the mornings from 8:00 am - 10:30 am, again for all levels.
Practice will consist of wrestling room attendance, warm up, skills drills, live wrestling, weight lifting and conditioning. Competitions will take place on certain days during the week as well as some Saturdays. A competition calendar will be sent home with your student/athlete. Team building and fundraising will be involved program wide as well. The program will emphasise:
